The Cure. Deerfield Management

elite|studio e was brought onboard to develop the foodservice project solutions in the building acquired by Deerfield Management, an investment firm dedicated to advancing healthcare. Located in Downtown Manhattan, The Cure serves as Deerfield’s innovation campus -- bringing together scientists and engineers to use premier lab spaces, conference areas and other amenities.

Working in a phased approach, our first project at The Cure focused on the 12th floor café, kitchen and catering facilites. This included designing the rooftop terrace service bar that supports private functions, seminars and after hour events. As part of this phase, we also designed and built the second floor pantry. Full stocked with complimentary snacks and beverages, it supports the training center. 

Across all of its foodservice touchpoints, some of the goals Deerfield Management has mentioned are decreasing costs, increasing speed of service, and incorporating the technologies desired by the building tenants. For example, the 12th floor cafe offers an online/app ordering system and kiosk setup. 

Continuing to work with Deerfield Management on The Cure’s foodservice amenities, elite|studio e is currently designing foodservice touchpoints for the ground floor. The client has also engaged us in the design and build of an  additional kitchen that will support the second floor.
