Hodgson Russ, LLP
From concept to completion our team has been working on the
transformation of this Buffalo, NY, law frm’s dining experience since early 2018. When the project began our goals were to:
Embrace the existing industrial feel while creating an executive environment for lawyers, clients. etc.
Work with the historical nature of the building
Create a full-serve barista coffee bar
Improve customer fow and functionality
Our team helped the client see our vision with renderings of the new space and a dining zone map illustrating a variety of zones. The client was thrilled with the design, but put the project on hold ... until nearly a year later when the space fooded (in our favor) and the work had to be done.
Nearly a year later, elite|studio e was brought on board to continue the project. The fnal design included a new and improved café with a market bar, grill, deli, grab & go, and full service barista bar. For the barista bar, we coordinated with For Five Coffee Roasters to provide a layout suiting its operational needs. In addition, by opening up a wall between the existing cyber café and servery, we were able to increase the seating in this small space by 56%.
Our team provided full interior design services for the café and dining room, including specifying furniture, lighting, ceiling tiles, paint colors, laminate, countertops, etc. When it came to the construction and on-site coordination, our Project Managers
worked with a local construction management frm to ensure the project ran smoothly and opened on time.
