West Virginia University

When the operator needed to pitch its master dining plan to West Virginia University, our team was hired to visualize the ideas of the operator and the goals of the university while providing foodservice expertise.

For Evansdale Café, we used industrial food hall design for inspiration. As a result the space features expanded sightlines from the kitchen to the dining room, a warm environment with a sunken fireplace and counter seating at stations. In addition, our team embraced the university's brand throughout the café. The wall graphics and chair bases are WVU inspired, along with subtle W & V designs in the counter fronts and custom soffit designs.

Our team also worked on a one-year and future plan for Mountainlair's upstairs and downstairs dining experiences. The upstairs space, which was presented using virtual reality, combines woods with modern stone, tile, lighting and lettering. The downstairs space featured several retail establishments using local and national brands.
